Earn your Master at Arms badge!
To Arms! Take up the sword
Get your group’s Master at Arms badge while having fun, making memories, and working together. Get Medieval x Scouts is a different and exciting way to earn your badge. Your group will be guided through 1 vs. 1 duels, all vs. alls, and team fights. It’s not all about the sword skills though, they’ll also develop the three ‘co’ skills: co-ordination, confidence, and co-operation. After their training is complete they get the chance to show off what they’ve learned in a tournament where families are encouraged to attend! All this during normal Scout group hours!

What are our offers?
Taster
Duration: 1 hour
Price: £200 (£10 per child per hour)
How many participants?: Up to 20
What’s included?: 1 hour session where your group will get a chance to get hands on with our equipment and experience being a knight with soft-kit sword fighting! They will be led through a safety brief and introduction to the kit and how to properly equip it. Then the fun part! They will be guided through 1 vs. 1 duels, all vs. alls, and team fights. An exciting and great way to introduce your group to a new activity.
Note: This session can count as ‘Session 1’ within the ‘Get your Master at Arms Badge - Full’. If this is booked first the price will be taken off your booking.
Master at Arms - Full
Duration: 6 x 1 hour practice sessions & 1 x 1 hour assessment tournament.
Price: £1,120 (£8 per child per hour)
How many participants?: Up to 20
What’s included?: The first practice session will be introductory and go through the safety brief, equipment brief, and introduce some fun fighting games. The next 5 sessions will build from there and begin to develop footwork, strikes, blocks, defensive stances, counter attacks, and chivalry. Games are able to become more involved and will allow your group to action their new skills. The final session is a one hour tournament where your group will be given feedback by instructors, demonstrate their knowledge of the rules, and get a chance to show off their new skills to parents. Once this is completed they will have met the criteria to be awarded their Master at Arms badge.
Master at Arms - Condensed
Duration: 3 x 1 hour sessions. 1 x 1 hour assessment.
Price: £720 (£9 per child per hour)
How many participants: Up to 20
What’s included?: This follows the same structure as the full course, but condenses the sessions so that they are 30 minutes and two can be conducted within your normal group hour. The same skills will be introduced but there will be less time to hone them or implement them. This is the perfect choice if you want to get your badge at a cheaper price! The assessment will still be a full hour to allow time for demonstrations, feedback, and for your group to show their knowledge of the rules.
